Hello, my name is Josiah Thacker
I hold an Associate’s Degree in Software Development and several certificates related to IT.

Below are my Coding Projects!
Travel Blog
I created this website using HTML and CSS. This project not only reflects my technical proficiency but also gives a better understanding of who I am and what I enjoy while also capturing my spirit of exploration and discovery. Click here to view the website!
Ivy Tech Food Pantry
As the designated leader for our class’s Final Project, we developed a GUI using Python only, for Ivy Tech’s Food Pantry. The primary goal was to create a user-friendly interface allowing contributors to log in, input inventory data for the school’s food pantry, and generate a comprehensive list showcasing available and depleted items. The project showcased my leadership skills, coding proficiency in Python, and a commitment to addressing real-world needs within an educational context. Click here for the GitHub Repository!
Sorry!
During one of my courses, I successfully undertook a project that centered around utilizing the Xcode IDE to code a game in C++. This project is a good testament to my proficiency and adaptability in learning newer programming languages. I thoroughly enjoyed the process! The program prompts users to specify the number of participants and allows them to roll the dice by simply pressing the “Enter” key. Click here to see the repository!

Kuiper Flight!
This was another project I developed and completed with three of my classmates. We built this game using the Pygame API and primarily coded it in Python. The objective was to control a spaceship navigating through space, avoiding asteroids along the way. Each asteroid successfully dodged added to your score. Players start with three lives, and as you progress, the number of asteroids increases, making the game more challenging. I thoroughly enjoyed creating and contributing to this project.
